How to set up a QR code queue

What you need

A phone or computer with a web browser, and a place where customers can see the QR code. A TV or monitor is useful for the display. There is nothing to install and no hardware to buy.

Step 1: Create a queue

Go to dashboard.qrua.click/start and press the button. Your queue is created with one click. You do not need an account and you do not need a credit card.

Step 2: Share the QR code

Print the QR code or show it on a screen where customers arrive. When a customer scans it with their phone camera, the queue page opens in their browser. They tap Join Queue and get a token.

Each customer sees their token, the number being served now, their position and how many people are ahead of them, updated live. Before you claim the queue, only this customer page works, so you can see exactly what your customers see.

Step 3: Claim it to manage it

To manage the queue, sign up and claim it. Unclaimed queues expire after 7 days, so claim yours within 7 days to keep it. Claiming gives you the staff screen and the TV display.

Step 4: Open the display

Open the display screen in a browser on any TV or monitor. The display shows the current serving token, who is next, and a QR code so new customers can join right where they are standing. If you run more than one queue, the display cycles through each one.

Run the queue

Staff press Next on the staff screen to call each customer. Every customer phone and the display update instantly. Customers can keep the page open to get an alert when it is their turn, and can opt in to a push notification so they can step away and still be told when they are called.
